Job summary

SAMEE is seeking a Diploma-qualified Materials Planning & Procurement professional to plan and procure materials, issue POs, and monitor supplier deliveries. The role focuses on optimizing inventory, supplier performance, and purchasing efficiency in a manufacturing setting.

As part of the Materials Planning & Procurement team, you will collaborate with vendors, manage lead times, and support JIT initiatives while ensuring timely material availability for production.

Qualifications

• Diploma with minimum 2 years' experience in Purchasing, Buyer, Material Planning, or Supply Chain in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of material planning, procurement, inventory management and supply chain processes.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Positive attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and procure materials to support production schedules and customer demand.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor supplier deliveries for on-time supply.
• Coordinate with approved vendors on pricing, quality, lead time and order confirmations.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock aging and turns to optimize material availability.
• Follow up on outstanding orders, expedite urgent deliveries and manage non-conforming materials.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
• Support JIT inventory initiatives and continuous process improvements.
• Perform purchasing administration, including PO documentation and record maintenance.
