Job summary

Precast Concrete (Pontian) Sdn Bhd is seeking a diligent storekeeper to manage goods receiving, inventory accuracy and store operations at Pontian facility. The role involves weighing, labeling, stock control and coordination with procurement and production to ensure material availability.

Responsibilities include weekly stock counts, maintaining orderly storage, safeguarding assets and ensuring records in Konverge system are up to date.

Responsibilities

• Goods Receiving: Handle and inspect all incoming materials to ensure the quantities and specifications match the relevant purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Weighbridge Operations: Perform weighing operations for incoming and outgoing vehicles carrying materials such as rebars, mesh, cement, aggregates and sand, and ensure accurate recording of weight data.
• Inspection and Reporting: Promptly report any discrepancies, irregularities or anomalies identified during goods receiving, material inspection and weighbridge operations to the superior.
• Store Organisation: Ensure all materials, consumables, spare parts and cast-in items are properly stored, labelled and organised at the end of each working day.
• Stock Level Management: Monitor and review minimum stock levels to minimise stock shortages and prevent stock-out situations involving materials, diesel, consumables, spare parts and cast-in items.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain store racks, storage areas and the overall store environment to ensure easy access, proper organisation, safe handling and preservation of materials.
• Inventory Accuracy: Ensure physical stock balances are accurate and consistent with the inventory records in the Konverge system.
• Inventory Documentation and System Updates: Ensure all incoming and outgoing inventory movements are properly documented, filed and recorded in the Konverge system in a timely and accurate manner.
• Material Identification: Verify, label and tag all incoming materials and items received from suppliers to ensure proper identification and traceability.
• Stocktake and Reconciliation: Conduct weekly and monthly physical inventory counts, investigate stock discrepancies, report variances to management and implement corrective actions to minimise inventory losses.
• Inventory Records: Maintain and update accurate records of materials received, issued and consumed.
• Store Access Control: Monitor and control access to the store, ensuring that only authorised personnel are permitted to enter.
• Stock Security: Safeguard all materials, consumables, spare parts and other inventory against theft, misuse, damage and unauthorised removal.
• Material Issuance to Subcontractors: Issue materials to subcontractors based on approved requests, maintain proper supporting documentation and update all material issuances in the Konverge system.
• Stock Data Reporting: Prepare and update weekly stock data, including stock balances, movements and critical stock items, for monitoring and reporting purposes.
• Coordination with Other Departments: Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Maintenance and relevant departments to ensure timely material availability and smooth store operations.
• Other Duties: Perform any other ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior or management.
