Benchmark Electronics is seeking a Material Analyst in Malaysia to support material cost analysis, pricing administration, and data management. You will work with Commodity Managers and cross-functional teams to analyze data, maintain databases, monitor PPV metrics, and ensure pricing accuracy within ERP/MRP systems.
Responsibilities include auditing material data, preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations, and maintaining pricing contracts.

As a Material Analyst, you will support material cost analysis, pricing administration, and data management activities to drive informed business decisions. You will work closely with Commodity Managers and cross-functional teams to analyze material-related data, maintain databases, monitor PPV metrics, and ensure accurate customer pricing information within the ERP/MRP system.
Analyze and audit material-related data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Prepare reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, charts, and presentations for business reviews.
Collect, compile, and interpret data from multiple sources, including customer bills of material and PPV reports.
Present analysis findings and recommendations to Commodity Managers and stakeholders.
Maintain and update databases to support data collection and reporting activities.
Administer and track Purchase Price Variance (PPV) metrics against established agreements and standards.
Verify, implement, and maintain customer pricing contracts within the ERP/MRP system.
Monitor pricing updates and ensure customer pricing records remain accurate and current.
Collaborate with internal teams to support material cost management initiatives and process improvements.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in an EMS or manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and VBA/Macros.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and database management.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as BAAN or SAP.
Basic understanding of electronic components and supply chain processes.
Ability to manage large datasets and deliver accurate reports within tight timelines.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights effectively.
