Job summary

Benchmark Electronics is seeking a Material Analyst in Malaysia to support material cost analysis, pricing administration, and data management. You will work with Commodity Managers and cross-functional teams to analyze data, maintain databases, monitor PPV metrics, and ensure pricing accuracy within ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities include auditing material data, preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations, and maintaining pricing contracts.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an EMS or manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and VBA/Macros.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and database management.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as BAAN or SAP.
• Basic understanding of electronic components and supply chain processes.
• Ability to manage large datasets and deliver accurate reports within tight timelines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights effectively.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and audit material-related data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, charts, and presentations for business reviews.
• Collect, compile, and interpret data from multiple sources, including customer bills of material and PPV reports.
• Present analysis findings and recommendations to Commodity Managers and stakeholders.
• Maintain and update databases to support data collection and reporting activities.
• Administer and track Purchase Price Variance (PPV) metrics against established agreements and standards.
• Verify, implement, and maintain customer pricing contracts within the ERP/MRP system.
• Monitor pricing updates and ensure customer pricing records remain accurate and current.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support material cost management initiatives and process improvements.
