The Contract Executive is responsible for administering, managing, and overseeing contractual matters for solar (PV) and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with contract terms, mitigating risks, and safeguarding the company’s commercial interests throughout the project lifecycle.
1. JOB PURPOSE
To support Business Development by turning Singapore power and renewable-energy market intelligence into qualified off-taker leads, partnership opportunities and actionable recommendations for the Company’s Singapore and cross-border energy strategy.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research Singapore electricity, renewable energy and corporate PPA/DPPA/VPPA market developments, including USEP, demand trends and procurement models.
- Monitor regulatory, policy and Malaysia-Singapore cross-border energy developments affecting BD opportunities.
- Identify emerging high-demand sectors and prepare concise market and competitor
- Identify, map and maintain a structured database of corporate off-takers, large electricity users and target accounts in Singapore.
- Identify key decision makers and convert market intelligence into qualified BD leads and opportunities.
- Support account prioritisation and engagement strategies for high-value prospects.
- Track major investments, developments and expansion plans in Singapore that may create electricity or renewable-energy demand.
- Monitor sustainability targets and renewable-energy commitments, and maintain a pipeline of potential projects and off-takers.
- Monitor competitors, developers, retailers and energy solution providers, including projects, customer wins, partnerships and positioning.
- Track available pricing and commercial structures where reliable, and identify market gaps or differentiation opportunities.
- Provide timely updates on significant competitor movements.
- Identify, map and maintain partnership channels, industry networks, consultants and platforms that can support lead generation.
- Support BD engagement with relevant partners and identify collaboration, referral and joint-development opportunities.
F. Commercial & Strategic Support
- Support market sizing, customer segmentation, opportunity assessment and basic commercial analysis.
- Analyse PPA, DPPA, VPPA, REC and cross-border energy models, and provide market inputs for pricing, business cases, proposals and management papers.
- Build and maintain accurate off-taker, project, competitor, partner and market
- Capture qualified leads and market intelligence in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, including lead status, customer information and opportunity pipeline updates.
- Work with BD to convert market intelligence into active opportunities while maintaining data accuracy and completeness.
3. Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Energy, Data Analytics or related disciplines.
- 2–5 years of experience in market research, market intelligence, business analysis, consulting, strategy, energy or business development.
- Experience in renewable energy, electricity markets, utilities or energy-related industries is preferred.
- Knowledge of the Singapore electricity market is an advantage.
- Experience in Singapore market research, corporate customer mapping or B2B lead generation is preferred.
- Strong research, analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Power BI or other data-analysis tools is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of AI tools, generative AI and automation applications for market research, data analysis, lead generation and productivity enhancement is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple research assignments.
