Job summary

See Yong & Son Construction Sdn Bhd S(YS) is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to lead marine and civil engineering projects, including dredging, port construction, breakwaters, reclamation, and coastal structures. You will oversee a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-value projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, exceptional leadership, and a proven track record of successful project delivery in marine

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Marine Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years as project manager in marine works and 10 years in construction.
• Proven track record on port, jetty, dredging, reclamation or offshore projects.
• Familiarity with international standards (FIDIC, ISO, HSE).
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/marine/dredging projects from pre-construction to completion.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with standards, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Develop schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Monitor progress, quality, and stakeholder reporting.
• Manage client relations throughout project lifecycle.
• Lead multidisciplinary team to maintain performance and morale.
