Job summary

The Waterfront Shoppes of The Light City in Penang invites you to join our dynamic Marcom team. We are seeking a detail-oriented administrator/event coordinator to support casual leasing operations, procurement, asset management and on-site event setup.

With 1–3 years of relevant experience, you will liaise with tenants, vendors and internal stakeholders, maintain documentation, and help monitor marketing budgets and permits.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant administrative, marketing or event coordination experience.
• Good organisational, time-management, and coordination skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to liaise with tenants, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and follow up on outstanding matters.
• Detail-oriented with good documentation and administrative skills.
• Experience in shopping mall, retail, events or property management would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Casual Leasing Operations: Handling payment terms tracking, invoicing coordination, and payment follow-ups for temporary space rentals.
• Procurement & Documentation: Raising Purchase Requisitions (PRs), tracking approval status, and assisting with the initial preparation of license agreements.
• Asset & Inventory Management: Overseeing Marcom assets, maintaining the storeroom, and managing inventory logs for festive/event props.
• General Administrative Support: Running operational errands and offering administrative backup for the wider Marcom team during event setups.
• Assist in monitoring marketing expenses, budgets and supporting documents.
• Assist with event logistics, including permits, venue arrangements, manpower, materials and on-site coordination.
