Job summary

LINKTEL TECHNOLOGIES SDN.BHD. located at Batu Kawan Penang is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Automation Equipment) to join our engineering team on a full-time basis at our facility in Batu Kawan, Penang.

You will be responsible for enhancing production capabilities and integrating automation technologies across manufacturing processes. The role requires collaboration with R&D for NPI, building workstations and test stations, defect analysis for yield improvements, MES configuration, and

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Optics, Optoelectronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering.
• At least 2 years of working experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably in semiconductor, optoelectronics, or optical transceiver industry.
• Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) configuration and production process management.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as 8D, SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and Lean Manufacturing principles for yield improvement.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, Protel, and CAD.
• Ability/ F amiliar to work in a cleanroom/dust-free environment.
• Knowledge of optical transceiver testing and communication protocols (e.g., IEEE802.3, SFF) is an advantage.
• Proficiency and fluency in Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D engineers to complete the introduction of optical transceiver products to the production line (NPI).
• Responsible for building production line workstations and test stations.
• Responsible for analyzing defects in the manufacturing process, formulating improvement plans, and improving product yield.
• Responsible for the management of production equipment, including daily maintenance and calibration.
• Responsible for the configuration of the MES system and the management of the production process flow.
• Responsible for setting up the product repair process and establishing the standard repair procedure.
• Proficiency in communication protocols such as IEEE802.3 and SFF is preferred.
• Proficiency in using software such as Excel, Word, Protel, and CAD.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by superior leaders.

Key responsibilities
