Job summary

CustomCraft (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead the Purchasing Department, optimize procurement, and manage supplier relationships across manufacturing operations in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

You will develop sourcing strategies, ensure timely deliveries, negotiate favorable terms, and drive cost savings while maintaining compliance and strong stakeholder collaboration. Candidates should have a diploma/degree in purchasing or related field, experience in manufacturing procurement,

Qualifications

• Mandarin speaking is required to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking suppliers and clients.
• Diploma/Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in purchasing, logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
• Experience in purchasing raw materials for manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles and practices.
• Familiarity with sourcing, supplier evaluation, and vendor management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, or relevant purchasing systems.
• Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all matters related to the Purchasing Department, including procurement and vendor management.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of goods and services.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and requirements.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and offerings.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Monitor and track purchase orders, deliveries, and inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Analyze purchasing data and market trends to identify improvement opportunities and potential cost savings.
• Source and purchase raw materials and other requirements for manufacturing operations.
