Job summary

MD Tool Technologies Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Admin for our manufacturing environment in Malaysia. You will handle sourcing, supplier liaison, purchase orders, and delivery coordination to ensure on-time production.

You will work closely with suppliers in Taiwan and China, require a Diploma in a related field, and must be fluent in Chinese. Independent, proactive, and cost-conscious candidates will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing, machinery or engineering.
• Fluent in Chinese and able to communicate with suppliers in Taiwan and China.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and machine sourcing.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Independent and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willing to travel independently for supplier visits.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing activities including sourcing, quotations, POs, and follow-ups.
• Liaise with suppliers in Taiwan and China on pricing, specs, delivery, and orders.
• Purchase machines, machine parts, equipment, raw materials and related items.
• Source new suppliers and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with internal departments to forecast needs and ensure timely orders.
• Monitor purchase orders, delivery status, and outstanding items.
• Conduct physical purchases from suppliers and stores as needed.
• Travel independently to purchase or collect items.
• Verify items against specifications prior to delivery.
• Maintain purchasing records and supplier information.
