Baterihub is seeking a seasoned Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, optimize stock and drive efficient distribution across multiple outlets. You will lead a cross-functional team, implement forecasting, coordinate with international suppliers, and improve process efficiency.
The role requires strong analytical capabilities, Mandarin and English fluency, and proven leadership in a fast-paced environment. Travel may be required to support growth and new branch openings.
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, stock transfers, and dispatch.
Ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
Establish and maintain effective inventory control procedures to minimise stock discrepancies, damage, loss, and obsolete stock.
Monitor stock levels across warehouses and retail outlets to ensure product availability.
Improve warehouse productivity, space utilisation, manpower efficiency, and operational processes.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and company operating procedures.
2. Supply Chain Planning & Demand Forecasting
Develop and implement demand forecasting and inventory replenishment plans based on historical sales, market trends, seasonal demand, and business growth.
Analyse sales data, stock movement, lead times, and inventory turnover to determine appropriate stock levels.
Plan purchasing quantities and replenishment schedules to avoid stock shortages and excessive inventory.
Coordinate with Sales, Retail, Finance, and Management teams to align stock planning with sales targets and business requirements.
Establish appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels, safety stock, and reorder points.
Monitor slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions.
Support new product launches, promotional campaigns, and new branch openings through effective stock planning.
3. Supplier & International Coordination
Liaise directly with China-based suppliers, manufacturers, and business counterparts on purchasing, production schedules, order confirmations, shipment arrangements, and delivery timelines.
Communicate and negotiate with suppliers on pricing, payment terms, product specifications, order quantities, lead times, and quality requirements.
Follow up on purchase orders, production progress, shipment status, and potential supply disruptions.
Coordinate import shipments and work with freight forwarders, customs agents, and relevant parties to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.
Resolve supplier-related issues, including delivery delays, incorrect quantities, damaged goods, and product quality concerns.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with overseas suppliers to support long-term supply chain efficiency.
4. Logistics & Distribution Management
Plan and coordinate the distribution of batteries and related products from the warehouse to all BateriHub retail outlets and customers.
Develop efficient delivery schedules, routing arrangements, and shipment plans to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Coordinate with transport providers, logistics partners, warehouse personnel, and retail teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Monitor delivery performance, transportation costs, fulfilment rates, and on-time delivery KPIs.
Manage urgent stock transfers, inter-branch replenishment, customer deliveries, and special delivery requirements.
Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs while maintaining service quality and delivery efficiency.
Ensure proper documentation for goods received, stock transfers, dispatches, and deliveries.
5. Warehouse Management System (WMS) & Process Improvement
Oversee the effective utilisation of WMS and related inventory management systems.
Ensure accurate and timely system transactions for goods receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and stock transfers.
Monitor system inventory against physical stock and investigate discrepancies.
Work with IT and relevant departments to improve system functionality, reporting accuracy, and operational workflows.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse, inventory, and logistics activities.
Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve supply chain visibility through system integration and data analytics.
6. Procurement & Purchase Order Management
Oversee purchasing activities and purchase order planning based on forecast demand, stock availability, and supplier lead times.
Ensure purchase orders are raised, approved, tracked, and fulfilled according to company procedures.
Review supplier performance in terms of pricing, quality, reliability, lead time, and fulfilment.
Coordinate with Finance on supplier invoices, payment schedules, purchasing budgets, and cost control.
Maintain appropriate purchasing records and ensure procurement activities comply with company policies.
Lead and develop the warehouse, inventory, purchasing, and logistics teams.
Establish clear departmental KPIs, performance standards, and accountability.
Manage manpower planning, shift arrangements, workload allocation, and staff productivity.
Work closely with Retail, Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and Management to resolve operational issues.
Prepare regular reports on inventory, purchasing, warehouse productivity, delivery performance, and supply chain costs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in warehouse management, supply chain, logistics, procurement, or inventory planning.
Proven experience managing warehouse operations and distribution across multiple retail outlets or customer locations.
Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP, or inventory management software.
Demonstrated experience in demand forecasting, purchasing, stock replenishment, and inventory control.
Experience liaising with China-based suppliers or manufacturers is highly preferred.
Fluency in Mandarin and English is required to communicate effectively with China-based counterparts; Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, forecast demand, and manage inventory levels.

Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
