Job summary

Alliance Bank Malaysia is seeking a data analytics professional to join our Credit Risk Analytics team. You will design, build and maintain credit risk reports, and present portfolio KPIs to management and business partners.

You will analyze credit risk data against historical and projected trends, support policy decisions, and collaborate with policy managers on campaigns and credit strategies while ensuring data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science or Mathematics.
• 3–5 years of experience in data analytics or related roles.
• Strong business and data analytics skills with track record of complex data analysis.
• Ability to work with structured and unstructured data to produce high-quality analyses.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with demanding partners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to interact with business, operations, technology and finance teams.

Reporting to the Team Lead, the candidate will be focused on the analysis and reporting of credit risk metrics including key performance indicators of the portfolio. This will also cover the development and enhancement of periodic reporting and MIS for the department and business.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, implement and maintain credit risk reports
• Analyse and report portfolio KPIs to management, HOD and business partners ensuring information is accurate
• Analysis of credit risk data against past and expected trends to sufficiently explain key portfolio variance and performance drivers
• Portfolio analysis, monitoring and reporting on a regular and timely basis
• Perform system UATs for credit-risk related systems
• Provide analytical and statistical data to support recommendations to enhance credit policies, segmentation and simulation techniques
• Proactively engage Policy Managers on portfolio shape, trend and abnormalities in portfolio movement
• Assist Policy Managers on campaigns and product proposals
• Review and provide recommendations based on credit strategy outcome and continuously improve credit analytics structure
• Perform data integrity checks with various stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and consistency

About you

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or an equivalent quantitative area
• 3 - 5 years experience in data analytics or relevant experience
• Strong business and data analytics skills with proven track record of complex processes and data analysis deliverables
• Ability to produce high quality analysis using structured and unstructured data
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deal effectively with demanding business partners
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
