Job summary

Sunway University in Malaysia seeks a Manager – Partnership Office to provide strategic coordination, operational leadership, and continuous enhancement of the Lancaster University-Sunway University Partnership Office.

The postholder will act as the principal operational lead for implementing the Lancaster-Sunway Partnership Strategy, translating agreed priorities into measurable outcomes and ensuring effective coordination across University teams and partnership stakeholders.

Qualifications

The Manager – Partnership Office at Sunway University will provide strategic coordination, operational leadership, and continuous enhancement of the Lancaster University-Sunway University Partnership Office.

The postholder will act as the principal operational lead for implementing the Lancaster-Sunway Partnership Strategy, translating agreed priorities into measurable outcomes and ensuring effective coordination across University teams and partnership stakeholders.

The role will support the Academic Dean and Global Engagement team in Lancaster through effective governance, institutional coordination, partnership development, performance monitoring, executive support, and strategic operational planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic planning, partnership delivery, and institutional development.
• Coordinate governance activities and institutional planning.
• Manage events, executive engagement and reporting.
• Leadership, staff supervision, executive support, and people management.
• Monitor partnership performance and implement partnership strategy.
• Manage academic partnerships, quality assurance, and compliance.
• Develop partnerships and engage stakeholders to strengthen international collaborations and relationships.
• Oversee risk management, business continuity, resource planning and operational excellence.
• Analyse partnership data, analytics, and drive digital transformation initiatives.
• Coordinate communications, partnership profile development, and strategic engagement.

Requirements & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree and experience in higher education, partnership management, or a related field, including strategic implementation, operations, governance, cross-functional projects, staff supervision, and executive support.
• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at different levels across different cultural background.
• Strong understanding of the UK and/or Malaysian higher education, transnational education, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements, is an advantage.
