Responsibilities

• Identify and secure non-traditional income streams for the University.
• Develop and coordinate assigned special projects from concept to implementation.

• Prepare proposals, business cases and implementation plans.
• Develop relationships with corporates and institutions across Malaysia and the wider region.
• Lead the development of proposals, quotations and presentations for corporate training, executive education, consultancy, CPD, micro-credentials and other relevant offerings.
• Manage the delivery of assigned business development and special projects including project planning, coordination, implementation and reporting.
• Produce reports and presentations on project progress, business development activities, market opportunities and outcomes.

Senior Executive, Special Projects & Business Development

The post holder will lead and support the development and delivery of special projects aimed at generating non-traditional income streams for UoRM including CPD, micro-credentials, executive education, consultancy, short courses and other commercial initiatives. The role has a dual focus on developing the internal processes, policies and governance frameworks required to lead and support these offerings, while proactively identifying and developing external business opportunities and corporate partnerships. The post holder will work closely with academic and professional services colleagues to translate University expertise into marketable offerings and with external organisations to identify opportunities that contribute to financial growth. The role requires a high degree of agility and adaptability with the post holder expected to take on a range of projects that evolve in response to University priorities, market opportunities and strategic needs.

Key responsibilities

Lead and support the development and implementation of initiatives to identify and secure non-traditional income streams for the University, including CPD, micro-credentials, executive education, consultancy, short courses and other commercial initiatives

Develop and coordinate assigned special projects from initial concept through to implementation, ensuring that projects are aligned with University priorities and deliver agreed outcomes

Work with Brand and Marketing team to conduct market research, competitor analysis and feasibility assessments to identify opportunities for new offerings and revenue generation

Work with academic and professional services colleagues to identify relevant expertise, capabilities and opportunities that can be developed into marketable offerings

Develop project proposals, business cases and implementation plans for new initiatives as required

Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities with corporates, institutions and other organisations across Malaysia and the wider region

Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing corporate partners and clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities for collaboration

Lead and support the development of proposals, quotations and presentations for corporate training, executive education, consultancy, CPD, micro-credentials and other relevant offerings

Manage the delivery of assigned business development and special projects including project planning, coordination, implementation and reporting

Produce reports and presentations on project progress, business development activities, market opportunities and outcomes
