Aset Kayamas Development Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Finance and Tax Manager to own the full accounting function, manage financial reporting, tax compliance, cash flow, and stakeholder liaison in Kuala Lumpur. The role requires independence, attention to detail, and strong communication with bankers, auditors, and tax agents.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years' experience in finance within construction or property development, and be fluent in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in property development/retail sector.
• Proficient in full-set accounting, financial reporting, and corporate tax compliance in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts, statutory accounts, monthly management reports, cash flow forecasting, and budgeting.
• Prepare yearly accounts for external auditors and liaise with bankers, tax agents, auditors, and company secretaries.
• Lead tax compliance including corporate tax computations and filings.
• Supervise A/R and A/P functions, perform monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations, and review P&L and balance sheet.
• Analyze monthly management accounts to provide cash flow visibility and insights to management.
• Support development and construction-related finance tasks and liaise with external stakeholders.

About This Opportunity

Aset Kayamas Development is a Kuala Lumpur‑based property developer with an established portfolio spanning residential and commercial development. We are looking for an experienced Finance and Tax Manager to take ownership of the full accounting function — managing financial reporting, tax compliance, cash flow, and stakeholder liaison across the business. This is a role for a finance professional who is comfortable working independently, managing the full set of accounts, and engaging directly with external parties including bankers, auditors, and tax agents. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the construction or property development sector and will be confident communicating in both English and Mandarin with our external stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Manage the full set of accounts including statutory accounts, monthly management reports, cash flow forecasting, and budgeting — ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance at all times

Prepare and present yearly accounts to external auditors, and manage all liaison with bankers, tax agents, auditors, and company secretaries

Lead tax compliance activities — including monthly and yearly corporate tax computations, deferred tax calculations, and prompt submission of all periodic and ad‑hoc tax reports

Supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, and conduct monthly bank reconciliations, trade debtor and creditor reconciliations, and P&L and balance sheet reviews

Analyse and review monthly management accounts and expenses, providing clear financial insights and cash flow visibility to management

Support business operations with finance‑related project tasks specific to property development and construction activities, adapting to the needs of a dynamic development business

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent)

3–5 years of working experience in finance and accounting, with prior experience in the property development, construction, or retail mall sector strongly preferred

Proficient in full‑set accounting, financial reporting, and corporate tax compliance in a Malaysian context

Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax legislation, statutory reporting requirements, and liaison with regulatory and professional bodies

Proficient in Mandarin (spoken and written) — the role involves regular communication with Mandarin‑speaking bankers, auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries

Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy under deadline pressure

Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with property development ERP systems is an advantage

Nice-to-Have

Experience managing or mentoring junior finance staff

Familiarity with construction project accounting, progress billing, or developer trust account requirements

Experience with company secretarial matters or working closely with company secretaries on statutory filings
