Job summary

NCT PMC SDN BHD in Subang Jaya is seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to lead accounting for property development projects. The role covers the full set of accounts, cash flow, budgeting and month‑end closing, plus supervision of junior staff.

You will coordinate loan financing with banks, monitor budgets against forecasts, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies for accurate financial reporting. Collaborate with auditors and tax agents as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in property development.
• Strong knowledge of full set accounts and month-end closing.
• Experience in property development accounting including progress billings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee the full set of accounts for property development projects, including revenue recognition, progress billings, development costs, accruals, AP, fixed assets, bank reconciliations and month-end closing.
• Review payment vouchers and supporting documents to ensure proper approval, accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts for operational, project and financing requirements.
• Liaise with banks on loan drawdowns, repayments and financing matters.
• Maintain loan schedules and perform loan reconciliations to ensure accurate accounting records.
• Coordinate annual budgets and periodic forecasts, and monitor actual performance against budget.
• Supervise and guide junior accounting staff to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers and relevant authorities on audit, tax, statutory and financing matters.
• Ensure accounting records and financial activities comply with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting activities related to property development projects, cash flow, financing, budgeting and month-end closing.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in property development, construction or a related industry.

Strong knowledge of full set accounts and month-end closing.

Experience in property development accounting, including progress billings and development costs, will be an advantage.

Good understanding of cash flow management, budgeting and loan/financing matters.

Good knowledge of applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and supervise junior team members.

Good communication skills and able to liaise with auditors, bankers, tax agents and other external parties.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
