Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly/annual financial statements following accounting standards.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and month-end closing.
• Ensure tax compliance and assist external audits and tax agents.
• Monitor cash flow and optimize working capital for projects.
• Assist in implementing internal controls and financial systems.

Job description

We are seeking a Finance & Accounting professional to oversee the company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, cash flow management and statutory compliance. The role will work closely with management to provide financial insights, strengthen internal controls and support the financial performance of our property development projects.

This is a hands‑on role for a detail‑oriented and analytical individual who is confident managing full sets of accounts independently. Experience in the property development or real estate industry will be an added advantage.

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis

Manage the monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.

Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) of the project and provide insights to management.

2. Accounting Operations

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger functions.

Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.

Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and bank accounts.

3. Compliance & Internal Controls

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements.

Manage external audits and tax agents, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Manage tax submission in compliance with guidelines as set out by Income Revenue Board & Royal Malaysia Customs Department.

Involve in implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets.

4. Cash Flow Management

Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts, and optimise working capital for project development.

Manage banking relationships and liquidity requirements.

5. Ad-hoc Assignment

Support the implementation of financial systems or tools or etc.

Any assignment will be assigned by superior.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Finance/ Accountancy or equivalent.

At least five (5) years of working experience in related field, preferably experience in the Real Estate/ Property Development Industry would be an advantage.

Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese.

Able to handle full set accounts without any supervision.

IT savvy and good with operations and accounting software.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Committed, analytical, meticulous, strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and result-oriented.

Must be willing and able to work on-site during working days at our office in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
