BMI is seeking a seasoned Digital Project Manager to lead site-wide initiatives in Penang, coordinating Operations, Quality, Engineering, and external development teams. You will manage budgets, CapEx/OpEx, and vendor SLAs while ensuring on-time delivery of MES, LIMS, WMS, and IoT projects.
The role requires a strong PMO background, familiarity with regulated manufacturing standards, and experience delivering multi-year digital portfolios with minimal downtime during cutover.
Define project scopes, milestone schedules, resource plans, and risk logs for digital initiatives at BMI.
Manage cross-functional site alignment between Operations, Quality, Engineering, and external technical development teams.
Manage vendor delivery milestones, contract deliverables, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Track and report project health using the Project Execution and Management system (PEM-IT).
Lead local site go-live readiness reviews, cutover coordination, and post-implementation project reviews.
Support the site PMO and digital governance function.
Oversee total capital expenditure (CapEx) budget allocations for site digital projects.
Manage contract negotiations and SLAs with external vendors.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (preferred).
Certifications: PMP, CAPM, Agile/Scrum, or PRINCE2 certifications (preferred).
Industry Context: Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (MedTech, Pharma, Semi, Electronics) operating under FDA QMSR, ISO 13485, or GxP standards (preferred).
PMO Tools & Methods: Applied Project Management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) and proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, AzureDevOps).
Delivery & Budget Control: Basic understanding of project financial tracking (CapEx/OpEx), milestone management, risk logs, and vendor SLA monitoring.
Management Track Record: 5+ years of progressive experience in digital project management, PMO leadership, or IT/OT delivery, including 3+ years managing delivery teams or project portfolios.
Proven Delivery Impact: Track record of delivering site digital initiatives (MES, LIMS, WMS, IoT) on time and within budget with zero unplanned plant downtime during cutover.
Experienced in managing multi-year digital spend forecasts, CapEx/OpEx variance reporting, and vendor contract negotiations.
Experienced in directing multi-project digital portfolios, enforcing vendor SLAs, and managing fixed-price statement-of-work (SOW) delivery.
