Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to customs declaration, documentation, import/export tasks, customer service and shipment coordination.
• Assist in handling daily import/export and logistics operations.
• Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, hauliers, warehouses, suppliers and internal teams.
• Assist in preparation and checking of shipment documents and quotations.
• Learn customs declaration procedures.
• Monitor container movement and delivery arrangements.
• Follow up on shipment status and operational issues.
• Support business development activities where suitable.
• Learn the overall end-to-end logistics workflow within the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Undergo a structured rotational programme across the organisation's operations and business areas, with eventual responsibilities and career direction shaped by personal strengths, skills, interests and performance.
• Gain exposure to functions that may include customs declaration and clearance coordination, import and export documentation, customer service and shipment coordination, container traffic and haulage coordination, freight forwarding operations, freight enquiries and quotation preparation, supplier and transporter coordination, shipment monitoring, business development follow-up, and general logistics administration.
• Assist in handling daily import/export and logistics operations.
• Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, hauliers, warehouses, suppliers and internal departments.
• Assist in preparation and checking of shipment documents.
• Learn and assist with customs declaration procedures.
• Monitor container movement and delivery arrangements.
• Follow up on shipment status and operational issues.
• Assist in preparing quotations and obtaining supplier costs.
• Update customers on shipment or delivery progress.
• Maintain proper operational records and documentation.
• Support business development activities where suitable.
• Learn the overall end-to-end logistics workflow within the organisation.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, International Business or a related field is preferred; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, and candidates from other educational backgrounds will also be considered if they have a strong interest in the logistics industry.
• No specific logistics working experience is required; internship or prior exposure to logistics, shipping, forwarding, transportation or customer service will be an advantage.
• Interested in building a long-term career in logistics.
• Willing to learn different functions instead of expecting only desk-based work.
• Responsible and able to follow up tasks until completion.
• Comfortable communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Able to work in a fast-moving operational environment.

• Able to use Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
• Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese (added advantage).
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm.
