Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced HR professional to oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes in Malaysia. You will manage payroll, data updates, and statutory compliance while coordinating with HQ on local HR practices.

The role requires strong English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin, with at least 5 years in IR/ER or HR management and 3 years of payroll independence. Shortlisted candidates with notice period flexibility will be prioritized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resource Management/Administration/Management/Psychology or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in IR/ER or HR management with solid labor law knowledge.
• At least 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll independently.
• Experience in handling employee relations is preferable.
• Detail-oriented and capable of handling complex employee relations independently.
• Strong command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full cycle recruitment: postings, sourcing, interview coordination, onboarding.
• Manage employee lifecycle: confirmations, transfers, resignations.
• Maintain employee data in HR system with payroll, allowances, deductions, and leaves.
• Perform end-to-end payroll processing ensuring statutory compliance (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).
• Collaborate with HQ to implement HR practices in local entity.
• Review and update HR policies for statutory and audit compliance.
• Coordinate HRDC training grants and claims; manage insurance notifications.
• Handle disciplinary matters, grievances, and employee relations with fairness.
• Provide guidance to line managers on employee relations and compliance.
• Prepare and manage documentation: warnings, disciplinary reports, payroll records.
• Support employee engagement: town halls, dialogue sessions, feedback programs.
• Respond to payroll, benefits, and policy queries.
