Job summary

GC PACKAGING SDN. BHD. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a range of machinery and facilities at our Kulai site.

You will diagnose faults, repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic hydraulic systems, and respond quickly to service requests. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in maintenance or facilities, with knowledge of HVAC and building systems, and the ability to work overtime or on-call.

Qualifications

• Minimum certificate/diploma in mechanical/electrical/facilities management or related field.
• At least 1 year of working experience in maintenance or facilities.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, or on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and production systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic hydraulic areas.
• Maintain and repair building facilities and related infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Keep accurate records of activities, inspections, and repairs; monitor spare parts inventory.

Job description

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and production-related systems.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic hydraulic faults.

Maintain and repair building facilities, including lighting systems, air-conditioning units, plumbing systems, doors, fixtures, and other facility infrastructure.

Respond promptly to maintenance service requests or emergency calls.

Monitor and maintain facility safety standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Assist leader to coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or services.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

Monitor and manage tools, equipment, and spare part inventory.

Minimum Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.

At least 1 year of working experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related technical role.

Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning (HVAC), and building maintenance systems.

Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility-related issues.

Able to use hand tools, power tools, and basic testing equipment safely and effectively.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Willing to work overtime, weekends, or on-call when required.
