Job summary

T HASEGAWA FLAVOURS (KUALA LUMPUR) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to inspect, maintain and repair equipment across production and lab areas. You will perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and help upgrade or replace worn items while following safety procedures.

You will work under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor and apply PPE, manage stock counts, and assist with basic plumbing, electrical and decorating tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments or PAT.
• Basic plumbing, electrical and painting/decorating skills desirable.
• Competent person for scaffolding operations per DOSH.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, fix and maintain equipment and machinery.
• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and identify upgrade needs.
• Provide information and advice on maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Paint and decorate or repair flooring and fittings.
• Ensure offices, labs and production areas are maintained and well equipped.
• Maintain grounds including grass cutting and garden work.
• Keep workshop stock counts accurate.
• Perform duties with PPE and follow safety procedures.

Education

Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical/ Mechatronic/ Electrical Engineering or with equivalent qualification.

• Inspecting, fixing and maintaining equipment and machinery.
• Conducting routine inspections of our premises and equipment
• Conducting preventative maintenance and identifying when items need upgrading or replacing.
• Providing information and advice on maintenance issues to superior (maintenance supervisor/maintenance assistant manager/ manager)
• Painting and decorating or conducting repairs to flooring and other fittings
• Ensuring office rooms, laboratory, production areas are maintained and fully equipped.
• Maintaining ground works such as grass cutting, removing grass/plants.
• Responsible for stock count of workshop inventories.
• Performing duties with appropriate PPE and following safety procedures

Education

• Prefer to have Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical/ Mechatronic/ Electrical Engineering or with equivalent qualification.

Special Requirement

• The ability to safely operate hand and power tools as well as cleaning equipment.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices (PAT)
• Experience with basic plumbing, electrical and painting/ decorating works is desirable
• Prefer to be competent person as scaffolding Operator by DOSH.
