Job summary

Panduit Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of high-impact equipment at our Senai Airport City, Johor facility. You will lead maintenance projects, mentor junior technicians, and drive process improvements to minimize downtime.

The role requires 5–7 years in a maintenance environment, a Diploma, and strong customer service skills. A 12-hour rotating shift and on-site work at Senai Airport City, Johor are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma in any relevant field.
• 5–7 years of maintenance technician experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive improvements.
• Customer-focused with the ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex, high-impact equipment and systems. Demonstrate advanced technical expertise, lead maintenance projects, and mentor lower-level technicians. Handle critical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. Contribute to process improvements and manage escalated technical issues.

• Corrective Maintenance Activities: Perform high complexity corrective maintenance activities, including repairs and troubleshooting that require deep analysis to provide proper conditions for internal customers to accomplish their activities. Make decisions to ensure activities meet required standards, contacting the supervisor only when needed. Provide feedback to the supervisor about issues or problems detected during corrective maintenance activities that need to be resolved to ensure optimal service levels. Support Maintenance Technician 1 and 2 in corrective activities when required. Document and report repairs made to production equipment. Solve problems and implement improvements to reduce the incidence of failure modes.
• Maintenance Work Requests: Perform high complexity work requested by the maintenance area. Contact the requester to gather all necessary information about the work needed and collaborate to provide the required support to ensure customer satisfaction. Prioritize tasks based on urgency and production schedule needs. Maintain accurate records of completed work orders related to production equipment. Track materials, spare parts, chemicals, or other items required to perform requested work to ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Preventive Maintenance Activities: Perform high complexity preventive maintenance activities assigned by the supervisor according to the Preventive Maintenance Program for equipment with high technology level and/or high impact or high-critical level as required in each location. Provide feedback to the supervisor about issues or problems detected during preventive maintenance activities that need to be resolved to ensure optimal service levels. Identify and recommend activities to improve the Preventive Maintenance Program. Keep detailed records of preventive maintenance activities performed on production equipment. Support lower-level Maintenance Technicians in preventive activities when required.
• Special Projects: Lead, guide, and assist in executing high complexity activities in special maintenance projects for production equipment under the supervision of senior technicians or supervisors. Lead the coordination and execution of the installation, testing, and commissioning of new production equipment or machinery. Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects focused on optimizing production equipment and processes.
• Other Activities: Provide support and guidance to Maintenance Tech 1 and Maintenance Tech 2 to ensure proper customer support. Interact with suppliers to resolve issues and provide solutions.

Job Requirement

• Minimum Diploma in any relevant field.
• 5-7 years of maintenance technician experience in a injection molding manufacturing.
• Contributes to team and customers by providing day to day support of administrative and planning activities.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to measure the impact of job family programs.
• Customer Service focused, developing relationships by listening and understanding the customer (both internal and external). Anticipates and provides solutions and alternatives to customer needs; giving high priority to customer satisfaction
• Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to work on a 12-hours rotating shift schedule (day & night)
• Willing to work at Senai Airport City, Johor.
