Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to handle in-house repairs and service across our office, restaurant outlets, and staff hostel. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs.

The successful candidate will work independently, diagnose issues, replace faulty parts, and respond to ad-hoc maintenance needs. Saturday on-call may be required. A relevant certificate and 1–2 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• SPM/MLVK certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–2 years of electrical/mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience servicing household and operational equipment (AC, washing machines, water heaters, meat slicers, etc.).
• Willingness to work on-call on Saturdays.
• Strong diagnostic and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment across offices, restaurant outlets, and staff hostel.
• Replace faulty parts and optimize equipment performance.
• Handle ad-hoc maintenance requests.
• Document and report maintenance activities.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to handle in-house repairs and service activities across our office, restaurant outlets, and staff hostel. The ideal candidate will perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair various equipment, and respond to ad-hoc maintenance needs. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical and mechanical preventive maintenance services according to schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair operational and household equipment in the office, restaurant outlets, and staff hostel.
• Replace faulty parts and optimize equipment performance.
• Monitor and carry out ad-hoc maintenance and repair activities as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

• possess at least a SPM or MLVK certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Experience in servicing and repairing household and operational equipment (e.g., air conditioning, washing machines, water heaters, meat slicers, etc.).
• Preferably Non-Executives specializing in Electrical Maintenance, Maintenance/ Repair (Facilities & Machinery).
• Good communication, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work on-call during Saturday.
• Strong commitment, ability to work independently, and self-motivation.
