Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in a manufacturing maintenance role with team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with ISO, HACCP, DOSH, DOE is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and control maintenance operations and safety.
• Lead and supervise the maintenance workforce to minimise downtime.
• Plan preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for production activities.
• Identify corrective actions to ensure quality standards.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Executive to join our team at Home Peanut Garden Food Industries Sdn Bhd. In this role, you will lead our maintenance workforce to keep plant machinery and equipment running efficiently, while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and food safety regulations. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and take ownership of day-to-day maintenance operations, team supervision, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and control all aspects of maintenance operations and workplace safety
• Lead and supervise the maintenance workforce to achieve optimum machine performance and minimise downtime
• Plan and enforce preventive maintenance schedules for all plant machinery and equipment
• Provide technical advice and hands‑on troubleshooting support for production activities
• Identify and recommend corrective actions to ensure machinery and equipment meet quality standards
• Plan and manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical parts are available when needed
• Source and recommend new technology or upgrades to improve department efficiency and machine performance
• Prepare and review maintenance schedules, ensuring daily performance is properly recorded and reviewed
• Prepare and analyse maintenance reports for management review
• Implement and maintain compliance with ISO, HACCP, and Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) requirements for the plant
• Ensure the water treatment plant remains fully operational, identifying opportunities for cost optimisation
• Work with internal and external laboratories on water treatment matters and Department of Environment (DOE) requirements
• Liaise with relevant government agencies on environmental, health, and safety matters

What We're Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field (either qualification considered, depending on experience)
• 3–5 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment, with prior experience leading or supervising a team
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial machinery, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance practices
• Familiarity with ISO, HACCP, DOSH, and DOE requirements is an advantage — guidance and training will be provided
• Good leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a maintenance workforce
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal teams, external contractors, and government agencies
• Willing to work overtime at short notice when operational needs arise
• Proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
