Wynntech Star Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a maintenance technician to uphold and repair production machinery in a seafood processing environment. You will perform routine inspections, servicing, and repairs to minimise production downtime.

The role requires basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, fault troubleshooting, and strict adherence to safety and preventive maintenance schedules. Overtime and urgent breakdowns may be required.

Competenze

• Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field; advantage.
• Preferably 2–3 years of factory/industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Able to use basic maintenance tools and equipment safely.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and factory equipment is an advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, servicing, and maintenance of production machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs within authorized competency
• Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns to minimize production downtime
• Ensure all machinery and equipment are in safe working condition
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to the maintenance schedule
• Check and maintain motors, pumps, conveyors, weighing scales, and other factory equipment
• Maintain factory facilities, lighting, plumbing, drainage, and other utilities
• Assist with installation, adjustment, and replacement of machinery parts
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and servicing schedules
• Report equipment defects, hazards, and safety incidents to the supervisor

Job Requirements

• Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical field is an advantage
• Preferably 2-3 years of experience in factory or industrial maintenance;
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, machinery troubleshooting, and repairs
• Able to use basic maintenance tools and equipment safely
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and factory equipment is an advantage
• Able to work in a wet, cold, or humid seafood processing environment
• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on maintenance work
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, or respond to urgent breakdowns when required
• Responsible, disciplined, safety-conscious, and able to work independently
