Job summary

Golden Fresh Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Technician to perform routine inspections and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems at its Penang site. The role requires hands-on ability with tools and strong problem-solving skills.

You will respond to maintenance requests, manage inventory, and coordinate with contractors to minimize operational disruption while ensuring safety standards are met. Heavy emphasis on documentation and on-call flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in facility management, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in facility maintenance, building systems, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, AHU, electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on building systems and equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor and manage facility inventory and supplies.
• Ensure facility safety and compliance with regulations; conduct safety inspections.

Job description

Conduct routine inspections of facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on building systems and equipment.

Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.

Ensure cleanliness and organization of facility areas including common spaces, restrooms, and office areas.

Monitor and manage facility inventory and supplies.

Ensure that the facility adheres to all safety regulations and standards.

Conduct safety inspections and implement necessary changes to maintain a safe working environment.

Act quickly and effectively to address emergency situations such as power outages, plumbing issues, or other facility-related emergencies.

Coordinate with external contractors and emergency services as required.

Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.

Provide regular reports on facility conditions, maintenance needs, and safety concerns.

Work with facility management and other departments to schedule maintenance and repairs with minimal disruption to operations.

Assist in the planning and execution of facility upgrades and renovations.

Qualifications
