Job summary

Wentel Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform daily checks on electrical panels and building services in a manufacturing setting. The role requires basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical wiring, plumbing, and mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Familiarity with fire safety systems, industrial pumps, compressed air piping, and HVAC/PAC units.
• Ability to read basic single-line electrical diagrams (SIA) and building piping layout plans.
• Hands-on experience operating basic hand tools, multimeters, and maintenance testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Daily visual and technical checks on MDB, SSB, and transformer rooms.
• Monthly emergency lighting, exit sign battery tests, and high-bay lighting replacements.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults, tripping breakers, and motor starter issues across facilities.
• Monitor and record water meter readings, inlet pressures, and storage tank levels daily.
• Inspect cooling water pipes, chilled loops, and backflow preventers for leaks or pressure drops.
• Carry out daily checks on trench sumps, drainage lines, lift pumps, and oil-grease interceptors.
• Inspect and service critical fans, roof turbine vents, wall exhausters, and LEV ductwork.
• Perform routine filter cleaning/replacements, coil washing, and condensate line clearing for AC/PAC units.
• Log temperature, humidity, and differential leadings across critical facility rooms.
• Monthly roof, gutter, skylight, and downspout inspections to prevent leaks.
• Carry out basic civil touch-ups, concrete repair, floor coating touch-ups, and door hardware repairs.
• Ensure roof anchor points, lifelines, and ladders remain safe.
• Conduct weekly automatic start tests for electric and diesel fire hydrants and sprinkler pumps.
• Inspect fire extinguishers, hose reels, and alarm panels weekly to ensure access and pressure.
• Ensure fire doors, self-closers, and firestop seals remain intact across all zones.

Wentel Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is actively seeking individuals with your skillset to join our team as Maintenance Technician.

5-day work (Monday - Friday)

JobResponsibilities

Conduct daily visual and technical checks on Main Distribution Boards (MDB), Sub-Switch Boards (SSB), and transformer rooms.

Perform monthly emergency lighting, exit sign battery tests, and high-bay lighting replacements.

Troubleshoot basic electrical faults, tripping breakers, and motor starter issues across building facilities.

Monitor and record water meter readings, inlet pressures, and storage tank levels daily.

Inspect process cooling water pipes, chilled loops, and backflow preventers for leaks or pressure drops.

Carry out daily checks on trench sumps, trade effluent drainage lines, lift pumps, and oil-grease interceptors.

Inspect and service critical fans, roof turbine vents, wall exhausters, and LEV ductwork.

Perform routine filter cleaning/replacements, coil washing, and condensate line clearing for split unit ACs and Precision Air Conditioning (PAC) units in server/control rooms.

Log temperature, humidity, and Inessure differential leadings across critical facility rooins.

Perform monthly roof, gutter, skylight, and downspout inspections to prevent leaks and rainwater overflow.

Carry out basic civil touch-ups, concrete repair, floor coating touch-ups, and door hardware repairs.

Ensure roof anchor points, lifelines, and ladders remain safe, secure, and ready for use.

Conduct weekly automatic start tests for electric and diesel fire hydrants and sprinkler pumps.

Inspect fire extinguishers, hose reels, and alarm panels weekly to ensure unblocked access and normal pressure.

Ensure fire doors, self-closers, and firestop seals remain intact across all compartmentalized zones.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance within a manufacturing factory or heavy industrial facility.

Basic electrical wiring, plumbing, and mechanical troubleshooting ability.

Familiarity with fire safety systems, industrial pumps, compressed air piping, and HVAC/PAC units.

Ability to read basic single-line electrical diagrams (SIA)) and building piping layout plans.

Hands-on experience operating basic hand tools, mustimeters, and maintenance testing equipment.
