Job summary

Kampung Gym Sdn Bhd is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our gyms safe, functional, and running smoothly across multiple branches in Malaysia. You’ll perform on-site repairs—from gym equipment and lighting to plumbing and general upkeep—while ensuring facilities stay clean, safe, and operational.

Minimal 1–3 years in maintenance or related fields, ability to work independently, and willingness to travel between branches are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of maintenance, facilities, or handyman experience preferred, gym/hospitality background is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Able to work independently and travel between Kampung Gym branches.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection and maintenance of gym machines and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment faults and components.
• Handle basic electrical and plumbing repairs (lights, taps, switches).
• Support branch teams to keep facilities clean, safe, and functional.
• Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs or servicing.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and consumables.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests or emergencies.
• Keep records of maintenance reports and parts usage.

Job description

Kampung Gym is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our gyms safe, functional, and running smoothly. You'll handle on-site repairs — from gym equipment and lighting to plumbing and general upkeep across our branches.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection and maintenance of gym machines (treadmills, cables, weight stacks, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment faults (squeaks, loose parts, cable replacements, etc.)
• Handle basic electrical and plumbing repairs (light bulbs, water taps, switches, etc.)
• Support branch teams in maintaining clean, safe, and functional facilities
• Coordinate with external vendors for major repair or equipment servicing
• Maintain an inventory list of tools, spare parts, and consumables
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests or emergencies
• Keep a proper record of maintenance reports, spare parts, and tool usage

About you

• Minimum 1–3 years experience in general maintenance, facilities, or handyman work (gym, hotel, or property background preferred)
• Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and discipline — able to manage tasks without constant supervision
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Able to work independently and travel between Kampung Gym branches (Austin, Toppen, Seelong, Dato' Onn, Kulai, Tasek etc)
• Physically fit and comfortable handling tools or gym equipment
• Honest, punctual, and takes pride in good workmanship
• Supportive, fast-moving team environment
