Job summary

Sunwaypyramid is seeking a facilities technician to maintain and repair building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and civil works. You will troubleshoot issues, perform hands-on repairs, and coordinate with suppliers and contractors as needed.

The role requires a Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related TVET qualification, and proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Minimum a Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, SPM with recognized trade qualification, or TVET certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily maintenance, repair, and upkeep of building facilities including electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and civil works.

• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors on repair or maintenance works when required.

Assist in daily maintenance, repair, and upkeep of building facilities including electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and civil works.

Perform general repair, painting, toiletry fitting, and plumbing tasks according to standards.

Troubleshoot and carry out hands‑on repair works promptly for any issues related to building structure or systems.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure all facilities and equipment are in good working condition.

Support preventive maintenance programs and report any abnormalities or unsafe conditions.

Coordinate with suppliers and contractors on repair or maintenance works when required.

Provide assistance during festive seasons, event setups, and marketing displays or decorations.

Ensure proper use and upkeep of tools, materials, and equipment.

Any other tasks or duties as assigned by superior from time to time.

To comply with PDPA and Sunway Compliance Manual.

To ensure that Personal Data is not disclosed to any unauthorized 3rd party without obtaining clearance from the Information Manager or the PDP Officer.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Minimum a Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, SPM with recognized trade qualification, or equivalent TVET certification.

Proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).

Possesses strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Good understanding of preventive maintenance practices and knowledge of relevant building codes, fire safety regulations, and local standards.

Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively.

Able to work on shifts, including weekends and public holidays (6 working days per week).

Willing be based at Johor Bahru (Sunway RTS Mall) and Iskandar Puteri (Sunway Big Box Sdn Bhd).
