Job summary

BSSB Leather & Fabric Chairs in Klang/Selangor is seeking a Lead Maintenance Manager to steer mechanical, electrical, and facilities upkeep across our furniture manufacturing operations. You will drive TPM, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and production uptime.

You will oversee CNC, woodworking, upholstery, panel processing, and foam equipment, manage budgets and spares, and mentor a growing maintenance team toward operational excellence while

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
• 8–12 years of maintenance experience with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven experience implementing TPM in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, RCA, and breakdown elimination.
• Hands-on experience with woodworking machinery, CNC, upholstery and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical, electrical, utilities, and facilities maintenance operations.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programmes.
• Oversee maintenance of furniture manufacturing machinery including CNC, woodworking, upholstery, foam processing.
• Drive TPM implementation to minimize breakdowns and downtime.
• Monitor MTBF, MTTR, equipment performance, and OEE.
• Lead RCA, breakdown elimination, and continuous engineering improvements.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, contractors, and Capex projects.
• Ensure compliance with machinery safety and relevant engineering standards.
• Support machinery installation, upgrading, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team toward operational excellence.
