Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic English is required (reading, writing and speaking).
• Good knowledge of measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, measuring tape, thickness gauge, temperature pyrometer).
• Knowledge of SAP notifications and work orders is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out periodic inspections independently for plant equipment using existing procedures and checklists.
• Carry out equipment stop inspections.
• Prepare inspection reports.
• Use SAP to create notifications and PM Orders.
• Draw simple sketches of parts with dimensions and tolerances.
• Use precision measuring instruments for equipment dimensions (vernier caliper, dial caliper, digital caliper, micrometer and dial gauge).
• Collect vibration data for equipment according to schedule.
• Carry out motor laser alignment.
• Carry out pulley or sprocket alignment using a laser alignment tool.
• Carry out V-belt or timing belt tensioning using a tension gauge or frequency tensioning tool.

The Maintenance Inspector is required to attend to all maintenance inspection and reporting processes within the Reliability Department.

In this role, you will gain exposure to advanced reliability techniques, including:

• Vibration Monitoring
• Laser Alignment
• Belt Tension Measurement
• Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
• Temperature and Flow Measurement
