Job summary

Masimo Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to identify equipment issues, analyze data, and drive improvements in preventive and corrective maintenance. You will summarize findings and report to design teams, while seeking opportunities to reduce costs and improve uptime.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical engineering field and at least 3 years of experience in maintenance engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering field (Mechatronic, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic).
• Minimum 3 years in a maintenance engineering role.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and quality system regulations preferred.
• Experience with maintenance documentation practices.
• Strong diagnostic, analysis and troubleshooting skills in manual or automated assembly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis and data processing.
• Identify risks and establish best practices for the automation team.
• Design tests to identify issues and determine critical parameters.
• Review MP documentation to optimize asset management and preventive maintenance cycles.
• Gather and analyze data to minimize downtime and improve maintenance efficiency.
• Provide structured technical feedback to enhance current and future tools and equipment and define maintenance requirements.

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for identifying equipment issues and performing root cause analysis. This role involves gathering and analyzing data to optimize equipment downtime and improve preventive and corrective maintenance activities. The engineer will summarize findings and provide feedback and requirements to the fixture and equipment design team. Additionally, the role includes identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction in maintenance activities, as well as documenting all maintenance activities in the Maintenance Program as required.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis and data processing

• Design tests to identify issues and determine critical parameters
• Review MP documentation to add missing procedures, optimize asset management, and improve preventive maintenance cycles to enhance cost efficiency and quality
• Gather and analyze data to minimize downtime and improve maintenance efficiency through hands-on support
• Provide structured technical feedback to enhance current and future tools and equipment and define maintenance requirements

About you

• 3 years in maintenance engineer position
• PC Literate
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Advanced English Language
• Experience in diagnostic, analysis and troubleshooting in manual or automated assembly processes
• Bachelor's degree required in technically related field from an accredited university (Mechatronic Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Electric/Electronic Engineer)
• Preferred: Knowledge/experience on ISO 13485 requirements and the Quality System Regulation
• Preferred: Ability in handling maintenance documentation
• Preferred: Knowledge of design using AutoCAD and Solid works
