Job summary

Corelle Brands Manufacturing (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to improve reliability and lead continuous improvements across maintenance activities. You will implement MTBF/MTTR, PM and PdM while ensuring regulatory and ISO compliance, safety, and quality standards.

You will develop the maintenance team's technical capabilities, monitor KPIs, and optimize inventory and cost control to support production continuity.

Qualifications

Degree/Diploma in Manufacturing/Mechatronic/Electrical or Mechanical.
At least 5 years of work experience in manufacturing process or field.
Good technical background; lean management and QCC are a plus; CAD/PLC experience advantageous.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good interpersonal and communication skills; team player.

Responsibilities

Improve maintenance system reliability through MTBF, MTTR, PM, PdM and monitoring.
Resolve maintenance issues to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.
Develop maintenance team competency to improve reliability and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, health, safety, environmental and ISO requirements.
Lead CI initiatives aligned with objectives and goals.
Monitor KPIs, establish targets, and drive to achieve performance.
Maintain indirect spare parts inventory for critical equipment and cost control.
Prepare and manage the department budget and forecasts, identify cost-reduction opportunities.
Conduct process and system audits and ensure ISO 9001, ISO 45001 compliance.
Prepare and present reports (daily/weekly/monthly) on KPI, maintenance, projects, issues.

Job description

Improve maintenance system reliability through effective implementation of MTBF, MTTR, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and equipment performance monitoring.

Resolve maintenance and technical issues effectively to minimize equipment downtime and ensure production continuity.

Develop the competency, technical skills, and capabilities of the maintenance team to improve equipment reliability, performance, and efficiency.

Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, health, safety, environmental, and ISO requirements.

Lead and drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives aligned with organizational objectives and operational goals.

Monitor equipment performance and maintenance KPIs, establish targets, and drive the team to achieve agreed performance expectations.

Establish and maintain an effective indirect spare parts inventory system for critical equipment to ensure availability and control inventory costs.

Prepare and manage the department’s budget and cost forecasts, ensuring effective utilization of resources and identifying cost-reduction opportunities.

Conduct process and system audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and other applicable standards and requirements.

Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including KPI performance, maintenance activities, project progress, and key issues, to management.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

Requirement:

Degree/Diploma or equivalent in any ManufacturingMechatronic/ElectricalorMechanical field.
At least 5 years working experience in manufacturing process or field.
Possess good technical background.
Have knowledge and experience in lean management and QCC will be an added advantage.
Have knowledge about Auto-CAD and programming in PLC will be an added advantage.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
