Job summary

Teleplan Technology Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot semiconductor equipment used in chip harvesting, rework, and testing. You will develop preventive maintenance schedules, analyze failure history, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.

Responsibilities include supporting installation and qualification of new equipment, maintaining tooling, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure critical spares are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
• Hands-on equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and temperature-control systems.
• Experience with soldering/reflow equipment, testers or automation is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment used for chip harvesting, heating, cleaning, reballing, reflow, baking and testing.
• Develop and manage Preventive Maintenance schedules and maintenance standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
• Analyze equipment failure history and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Monitor equipment uptime, downtime, MTBF and MTTR.
• Support installation, setup, commissioning and qualification of new equipment.
• Support equipment and tooling requirements for new chip PNs and new processes.
• Develop and maintain stencils, pallets, fixtures and production tooling together with Process Engineering.
• Support setup and troubleshooting of chip testers, test fixtures and related hardware.
• Manage critical spare parts and coordinate with equipment suppliers/vendors.

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline

3–5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, PCBA, equipment engineering or similar industries

Hands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting and maintenance

Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and temperature-control systems

Experience with soldering/reflow equipment, testers, fixtures or automation is an advantage
