Job summary

AB Mauri Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance activities at our Balakong site. You will guide technicians, drive troubleshooting, analyze root causes, and implement sustainable improvements across preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.

You will monitor equipment via KPIs (downtime, MTBF, MTTR, OEE), manage CMMS data, coordinate shutdowns and spare parts, and ensure compliance with safety, GMP, HACCP and Halal standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or engineering roles.
• Strong technical troubleshooting capability.
• Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems.
• Experience in using CMMS systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise work and make sound technical decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities to ensure production equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.
• Provide technical guidance and support to Maintenance Technicians.
• Drive troubleshooting, breakdown recovery, root cause analysis, and sustainable corrective actions.
• Develop and improve preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programmes.
• Monitor equipment performance through KPIs such as downtime, MTBF, MTTR, and OEE, and implement reliability improvements.
• Act as technical owner for assigned production equipment, including upgrades, overhauls, and optimization.
• Maintain accurate CMMS data, asset records, work orders, and maintenance reporting.
• Support maintenance planning, shutdown preparation, spare parts management, and contractor coordination.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety, health, environmental, quality, GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, Halal, and food safety requirements.
• Drive TPM, continuous improvement, waste reduction, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, HSE, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Engineering teams to improve equipment performance.
• Build team capability through coaching, competency development, training, and technical knowledge sharing.
