About the role
We are seeking an experienced M&E Supervisor to join K.K.I.P. SDN. BHD. on a contract basis in Sepanggar, Sabah. This is a pivotal supervisory position within our Mechanical and Electrical Engineering division, responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and optimal performance of mechanical and electrical systems on site. As M&E Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with engineering standards, maintaining project timelines, and leading a team of skilled technicians to deliver high-quality results that support the company's operational excellence and project success.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanical and electrical engineering teams on site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols


• Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment


• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets industry standards and contractual requirements


• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports, progress schedules, and technical records


• Manage inventory and procurement of mechanical and electrical materials, equipment, and spare parts


• Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimise system performance


• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to communicate project status and resolve issues


• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and operatives on site


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times


• Troubleshoot technical problems and implement corrective actions promptly

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline


• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or senior technical experience in mechanical and electrical engineering projects


• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, equipment installation, and maintenance procedures


• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints


• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in the engineering sector


• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage technical teams effectively


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders


• Problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure


• Proficiency in using project management tools and software


• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the project site


• Experience with electrical systems, power distribution, or HVAC systems is advantageous


• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems is preferred
