Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an on-site M&E Assistant Project Manager to support the coordination of mechanical, electrical and plumbing works at construction sites. You will liaise with subcontractors and clients to ensure works comply with drawings and specifications, and prepare minutes of meetings for M&E sub-contractors.

Applicants should have a diploma or degree in engineering and a minimum of 2 years' M&E experience in building projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in M&E works, preferably in building construction projects.
• Good technical knowledge and understanding of M&E systems and site coordination.
• Proficient in AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with local authorities, consultants, contractors and staff at all levels.
• Able to work independently, coordinate multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Preference will be given to candidates based in Langkawi; accommodation is not provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in managing all M&E related works at construction site.
• Liaise with subcontractors and client/consultants to ensure all M&E works are carried out as per drawings & specifications.
• Identify and recommend improvements in M&E designs and construction techniques.
• Conduct M&E sub-contractors meetings and prepare minutes of meeting.
• Monitor and record all M&E work activities at site for reporting.
• Assist Quantity Surveyor in verification of M&E sub-contractors' progress claims.
• Liaise with government authorities when required.
