Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a qualified M&E professional to oversee mechanical and electrical activities on site and coordinate with clients, authorities, and consultants. You will review subcontractor documents, enforce quality standards, and ensure timely reporting of non-conformances.

The role requires 3–5 years in engineering consultancy with strong project management and communication skills, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in engineering consultancy carrying out detailed design, project management and supervision in building engineering services.
• Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and under tight schedule.
• Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask in a timeline-driven environment.
• Interpersonal communication skills with ability to distill complex topics for broad audiences.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Report to management and oversee M&E activities as assigned.
• Attend discussions with clients, authorities, consultants, and other stakeholders regarding M&E matters.
• Attend all site and technical meetings, and report any non-conformance of works.
• Oversee construction works at the site, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Review documents submitted by subcontractors and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Implement quality control procedures at the site to maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Ensure all documentation is in place, updated regularly and organized.
• Prepare and maintain all technical documents for construction (materials, method statements, drawings).
• Handle other M&E-related matters as assigned by the Project Director.
