Job summary

CNQC Engineering & Construction (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd is seeking an M&E Engineer to support project coordination across design, procurement and on-site installation activities in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

The role involves reviewing specifications, liaising with consultants and contractors, and ensuring timely, compliant M&E works while maintaining safety and quality standards. Fresh graduates are welcome and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in M&E or related field.
• 2–8 years M&E construction experience preferred.
• Fresh graduates welcome; training provided.
• Experience in high-rise and residential projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review project specs, drawings and technical requirements to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors and subcontractors on M&E and installation procedures.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor M&E installation works to meet construction schedule.

Job Responsibilities

Review project specifications, drawings and technical requirements to ensure compliance with project standards.

Coordinate and liaise with consultants, main contractors and subcontractors on M&E-related matters and installation procedures.

Plan, coordinate and monitor M&E installation works to ensure timely project completion according to the construction schedule.

Ensure all M&E works comply with project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations and contractual requirements.

Monitor site progress and ensure the quality and efficiency of M&E construction works.

Attend project meetings and provide technical support and advice on M&E-related matters.

Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical and site-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Candidates with 2–8 years of relevant M&E construction experience are encouraged to apply.

Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply. Training and guidance will be provided.

Experience in high-rise building construction projects will be an added advantage.

Experience in residential development projects is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of M&E systems, including Electrical, ELV, Plumbing & Sanitary, Fire Protection and ACMV.

Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Project. Knowledge of BIM/Revit is an added advantage.

Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Positive attitude, willing to learn and able to work independently as well as in a team.

Candidates who are able to join immediately or within a short notice period are preferred.
