Job summary

GOLDEN VILLAGE PROPERTIES SDN BHD is seeking a seasoned M&E Design Engineer to monitor and evaluate mechanical and electrical design in construction projects in Malaysia. You will develop plans, draft M&E drawings for submission, tender and construction, and ensure designs meet regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with project teams, architects, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to plans and schedules, while identifying issues and proposing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' M&E design and engineering experience with consultancy firms.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong knowledge of M&E principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor M&E design plans in construction projects.
• Draft M&E drawings for submission, tender and construction.
• Identify issues relative to specifications and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project teams, architects, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure M&E systems comply with regulatory requirements and standards.
• Oversee M&E work to ensure schedule and drawings compliance.
• Perform additional duties as required by the company.

• Identify issues, discrepancies or deviations from project specifications and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project teams, architects, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to design plans and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that M&E systems comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards during design and construction.
• Oversee M&E work to ensure it is completed on schedule and according to drawings and specifications.
• Perform any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company.

Requirements

• At least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in M&E design and engineering with consultancy firms. Experience as an M&E engineer with contractor is a plus.
• Required languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• A sound knowledge of M&E engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely.
• Exemplary organizational skills and detail-oriented, with the capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
