Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify requirements and potential challenges for M&E installations
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation required for project implementation
• Supervise and coordinate the installation of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation, commissioning and DLP phases
• Conduct testing and commissioning of M&E systems to meet performance specifications
• Maintain regular communication with Contractors and Clients regarding project progress and technical matters
• Perform routine maintenance inspections and recommend improvements to existing systems
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry best practices
• Document all project activities, test results, and maintenance records accurately

We are looking for a dedicated M&E Engineer to join our team in Johor Bahru. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems for our diverse project portfolio. As an M&E Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our engineering operations, ensuring that all systems are installed to the highest standards and operate efficiently and safely. This role offers the opportunity to work on varied and challenging projects whilst contributing to the success of the Group's engineering initiatives.

Key responsibilities

Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify requirements and potential challenges for M&E installations

Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation required for project implementation

Supervise and coordinate the installation of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during installation, commissioning and DLP (Defect Liability Period) phases

Conduct testing and commissioning of M&E systems to ensure they meet performance specifications

Maintain regular communication with Contractors and Clients regarding project progress and technical matters

Perform routine maintenance inspections and recommend improvements to existing systems

Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry best practices

Document all project activities, test results, and maintenance records accurately

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in M&E engineering or a related field

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, and building services

Excellent understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations applicable to Malaysia

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
