Job summary

Pacificview Development Group Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced M&E Engineer to join our Forest City Johor team on a full-time basis. You will design, implement and maintain mechanical and electrical systems for large-scale building projects, ensuring integration with architects and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, preferably in construction, property development or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems design, installation and maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing and fire safety systems.
• Familiarity with Malaysian building regulations, codes and standards.
• Professional engineering registration or willingness to pursue PE status.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and oversee the implementation of mechanical and electrical systems for building projects and installations.
• Conduct detailed technical assessments and feasibility studies for M&E systems and components.
• Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, drawings and documentation in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and other engineering professionals to ensure seamless project integration and execution.
• Monitor and supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections and troubleshoot system failures to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations, building codes and environmental standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and site personnel.
• Maintain accurate project records and prepare progress reports for project management teams.

What we're looking for

• Strong knowledge of M&E systems design, installation and maintenance practices
• Proficiency in relevant computer-aided design (CAD) software and building information modelling (BIM) tools
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing and fire safety systems
• Familiarity with Malaysian building regulations, codes and standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with multidisciplinary teams
• Professional engineering registration or willingness to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) status
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards
