Job summary

Pembinaan Bintang Baru Sdn Bhd (PBBSB) is seeking a licensed Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to lead and supervise M&E works for high-rise construction projects in Malaysia. You will manage installation, testing and commissioning activities and ensure compliance with drawings, specs and technical submissions.

You will coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and cross-disciplinary teams, monitor progress, quality and safety, and prepare progress reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–6 years of M&E construction experience, preferably high-rise.
• Ability to read M&E drawings and technical submissions.
• Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills.
• Familiar with RFI, inspections and project docs.

Job description

Lead and supervise M&E works for high-rise construction projects.

Manage M&E installation, testing and commissioning activities.

Review M&E drawings, shop drawings, specifications and technical submissions.

Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and C&S/Architectural teams.

Monitor M&E work progress, quality, safety and compliance with project requirements.

Conduct site inspections and resolve technical and coordination issues.

Raise and follow up RFI, technical submissions and inspection matters.

Coordinate M&E works to prevent clashes with structural and architectural works.

Attend site, technical and coordination meetings.

Monitor M&E material deliveries, manpower and site activities.

Supervise testing, commissioning, defect rectification and project handover.

Prepare progress reports, inspection records and relevant M&E documentation.

Assist Project Manager in project planning, coordination and overall execution.

Willing to work on-site and manage project requirements independently.

Requirement

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3-6 years of experience in M&E construction, preferably high-rise projects.

Strong knowledge of M&E installation, testing and commissioning.

Able to read and interpret M&E drawings, specifications and technical documents.

Experienced in coordinating consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and other site teams.

Familiar with RFI, technical submissions, inspections and project documentation.

Good knowledge of construction quality and safety requirements.

Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD/BIM knowledge is an added advantage.
