Job summary

Foxeva Sdn. Bhd. seeks a responsible and hands-on M&E Coordinator/Engineer to coordinate Mechanical & Electrical works for construction projects in Malaysia.

You will review drawings and coordinate M&E installations with architectural and C&S teams, ensuring work adherence to timelines, quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant experience in M&E coordination / engineering within the construction industry.
• Able to read and interpret M&E, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Good knowledge of M&E installation, testing, commissioning, and site coordination.
• Hands-on, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor M&E works, subcontractors, suppliers, materials, and site activities.
• Coordinate M&E installations with architectural and C&S works to prevent clashes, rework, and delays.
• Monitor work progress and resolve site coordination and technical issues promptly.
• Review M&E drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
• Identify discrepancies or conflicts between M&E, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants and subcontractors on technical matters and approvals.
• Ensure M&E works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing & commissioning, defect rectification, and handover.
• Maintain as-built drawings, testing records, and relevant M&E documentation.

Job description

We are seeking a responsible and hands-on M&E Coordinator / M&E Engineer to coordinate Mechanical & Electrical works for our construction projects.

You will be responsible for coordinating M&E works with architectural and C&S works, reviewing drawings, resolving site coordination issues, monitoring subcontractors, and ensuring works meet project timelines, quality standards, specifications, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

M&E Coordination & Site Execution

Coordinate and monitor M&E works, subcontractors, suppliers, materials, and site activities.

Coordinate M&E installations with architectural and C&S works to prevent clashes, rework, and delays.

Monitor work progress and resolve site coordination and technical issues promptly.

Drawings & Technical Coordination

Review M&E drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submissions.

Identify discrepancies or conflicts between M&E, architectural, and structural drawings.

Coordinate with consultants and subcontractors on technical matters and approvals.

Quality, Testing & Handover

Ensure M&E works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and statutory requirements.

Coordinate inspections, testing & commissioning, defect rectification, and handover.

Maintain as-built drawings, testing records, and relevant M&E documentation.

Site Coordination & Reporting

Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.

Attend coordination meetings and follow up on outstanding matters.

Provide timely progress updates and report technical issues or potential delays to Management.

Requirements

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.

Relevant experience in M&E coordination / engineering within the construction industry.

Able to read and interpret M&E, architectural, and structural drawings.

Good knowledge of M&E installation, testing, commissioning, and site coordination.

Good planning, problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.

AutoCAD knowledge will be an added advantage.

Hands-on, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
