Job summary

Wah Loon Engineering Pte Ltd in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Engineering Coordinator to assist the Project Manager in delivering M&E projects. You will monitor site progress and ensure works follow approved drawings, specs, and schedules while coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 3–5 years of experience in M&E, construction or engineering projects.
• Experience in site coordination and supervising subcontractors is an advantage.
• CIDB Green Card or willingness to obtain prior to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in the execution and delivery of M&E projects.
• Monitor site installation progress and ensure works follow drawings, specs and project schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Attend progress meetings, site coordination meetings and technical discussions with project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
• Prepare and coordinate technical submissions, method statements, material submissions and shop drawings.
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of shop drawings with consultants, subcontractors and vendors.
• Review drawings and identify technical issues and design clashes for resolution.
• Coordinate Combined Services Drawings (CSD) and interface requirements where necessary.
• Liaise with consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and relevant authorities on technical matters.
• Assist in sourcing and procuring project materials, equipment and subcontract services.
• Monitor delivery schedules and material requirements to support project progress.
• Ensure materials and equipment comply with project specifications and approved submissions.
• Assist in the preparation of testing and commissioning documentation, check sheets and reports.
• Coordinate inspections, testing activities and commissioning works with consultants, subcontractors and clients.
• Support project handover activities including as-built documentation and final submissions.
• Ensure works are carried out in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Support the Project Manager in maintaining workplace safety and compliance with project safety requirements.
• Participate in site inspections, toolbox meetings and safety initiatives.
• Ensure all works are executed in compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in M&E, construction or engineering projects.

Experience managing site coordination and supervising subcontractors will be an added advantage.

Possess a valid CIDB Green Card or willing to obtain one prior to deployment to construction sites.
