Job summary

Idealbuild Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced M&E Project Coordinator to lead liaison with consultants, coordinate master schedules, and ensure quality across multiple sites. You will review drawings, consolidate M&E details, and manage sub-contractors to meet technical requirements and project timelines.

The role requires leadership, problem-solving, and strong familiarity with MS Projects, AutoCAD, and contract standards (FIDIC, JKR/CIDB).

Qualifications

• 5–15 years in M&E construction industries.
• Demonstrate good leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiar with MS Projects, AutoCAD and relevant standards.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000, QLASSIC and authority requirements.
• Familiar with JKR/CIDB/PAM/FIDIC contractual rights.
• Willing to work at multiple project sites.

Responsibilities

• Liaise and coordinate with consultants for submissions and approvals.
• Prepare M&E detail construction schedule aligned to master work programme.
• Review M&E design drawings and identify discrepancies with other disciplines.
• Prepare coordinated M&E drawings and obtain consultant approval.
• Manage M&E sub-contractors’ progress, meetings, drawings, materials, samples, method statements, shop drawings submissions and approvals.
• Coordinate with the project manager to supervise M&E works on site.
• Prepare M&E progress reports and general correspondence.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, plans and procedures.
• Ensure all M&E works meet regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with authorities on M&E works.
• Compile for closing projects such as as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
• Supervise implementation of ISO 9001:2015 / ISO 45001

Job description

1. Liaise and coordinate with consultant for relevant submission and approval.

2. Prepare the M&E detail construction schedule in relation to the master work programme.

3. Review M&E design drawings and identify discrepancies between M&E, civil and structural, architectural and interior design drawings.

4. Prepare a coordinated M&E drawing and approve by consultants for the project.

5. Manage the M&E sub-contractors work progress, meetings, drawings, materials, samples, method statements, shop drawings submission and approval all in accordance to construction plan, specification, procedure and required quality, time and cost.

6. Work closely with the project manager to coordinate and supervise the project site in relation to all M&E works.

7. Prepare the M&E progress reports and general correspondence pertaining to the M&E works.

8. Ensure that all works executed are in accordance with drawings, specifications, construction plans and procedures.

9. Ensure all M&E works are in compliance to regulatory requirements.

10. Liaise with authorities on all M&E works.

11. Preparation and compilation for closing the projects such as-built drawing, operation and maintenance manuals, test reports and others.

12. Supervise of the implementation of ISO 90001:2015 / ISO 45001

REQUIREMENT:

• 5-15 years in M&E Construction Industries.
• Demonstrate Good Leader qualities, Good problem solving skills.
• Familiar with Ms Projects/ACAD/ISO 9000/ QLASSIC/Authority Requirements
• Familiar with all contractual rights from JKR/CIDB/ PAM/FIDIC.
• Detailed & Good in follow up skills.
• Work at multiple project sites.
