Job summary

YTL Construction is seeking a Senior Site Engineer (M&E) to supervise and coordinate mechanical and electrical works on site, ensuring compliance with building codes and quality standards. You will oversee subcontractors, review drawings, and manage progress against the master program.

With a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years on-site or design office experience, you will use AutoCAD/Revit and MS Office to document progress, inspections, and testing, while

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as a full-time engineer.
• Minimum 3 years of construction site or design office experience or data center.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with consultants, builders and subcontractors on M&E works of the assigned projects.
• Coordinate with local authorities regarding site and construction related permit or approval.
• Monitor the master and detailed work programme in order to complete the project within timeline.
• Monitor the progress of the construction work to ensure adherence to quality control policy, in accordance with specification standards and contractual obligations.
• Review the drawings of various trades including architectural and structural for a smooth implementation of M&E works.
• Monitor and maintain the documentation of M&E work progress, drawing status, catalogues and sample approval status.
• Supervise testing and commissioning works by subcontractors to achieve system performance requirement.
• Participate in site meetings and coordinate with all site staff and subcontractors to resolve issues or site matters.
• Review inspection schedules and complete inspection checklists.
• Coordinate and manage temporary utility infrastructure at site.
• Evaluate and verify subcontractors' interim claims.
• Ensure on-site work is completed according to schedule in order for the site implementation team to function without compromising safety or quality.
• Ensure project comply with the standard safety, health and environmental guidelines as established by the authority.
• Ensure the sites implement the respective designs according to the endorsed design drawings.
• Ensure the building design is in compliance with all the local authority requirements and meeting the timeline to obtain the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC).
• Maintain all the project related ISO documents as per ISO audit requirements.
• Keep track record on all assigned project documents related to subject matter of scopes.

To be successful for the role:

• Possess a degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or other equivalent fields.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as a full-time engineer.
• Minimum 3 years of construction site or design office experience or data center.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCad and Revit.
