Job summary

MGB Berhad is seeking an M&E Coordinat or to supervise and coordinate mechanical and electrical works on site, ensuring timely completion and quality. The role requires liaising with civil, architectural teams and clients, and preparing progress reports and handover documents.

Applicants should have a Diploma or Degree in relevant engineering disciplines and experience in M&E coordination or site supervision, with strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or related field.
• Relevant working experience in M&E coordination or site supervision in construction.
• Good knowledge of M&E works, drawings, specs, testing & commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise day-to-day M&E works at site to ensure smooth execution and timely completion.
• Plan and coordinate M&E with Civil & Structural, Architectural, and other parties for proper coordination.
• Monitor progress, quality, and compliance with drawings and project requirements.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and authorities on M&E matters.
• Attend meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up actions.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning and handover of M&E works.
• Prepare M&E progress reports, diaries, correspondence and project docs.
• Verify subcontractors’ monthly progress claims based on actual work.
• Prepare as-built drawings and handover documents; carry out other duties as required.

Coordinate and supervise day-to-day Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works at site to ensure smooth execution and timely completion.

Plan and coordinate M&E works with Civil & Structural (C&S), Architectural, and other relevant parties to ensure proper site coordination.

Monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on M&E-related matters.

Attend project and coordination meetings, prepare meeting minutes and follow up on the required actions.

Coordinate site inspections, testing and commissioning, and handover of M&E works.

Monitor and follow up on site issues, non-conformities, and coordination matters with relevant subcontractors and parties.

Prepare and maintain M&E progress reports, site diaries, correspondence, and other relevant project documentation.

Verify subcontractors’ monthly progress claims based on actual work completed.

Coordinate the preparation of as-built drawings and relevant documents for project handover.

Carry out other duties and assignments as and when required by the immediate superior.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.

Relevant working experience in M&E coordination or site supervision, preferably within the construction industry.

Good knowledge of M&E construction works, drawings, specifications, and testing & commissioning processes.

Good coordination and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.

Prior experience in high-rise residential construction projects will be an added advantage.

Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a site environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
