We are seeking a dependable and experienced Lorry Driver to handle safe and timely deliveries across Ipoh and surrounding regions. In this role, you will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, maintaining vehicle safety standards, and ensuring accurate handling and transport of goods.
Key responsibilities
Safely drive and operate company lorries for local deliveries around Ipoh and outstation trips when required
Plan daily delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely arrivals while adapting to traffic conditions and road closures
Supervise or assist with the loading, unloading, and proper arrangement of goods to prevent damage during transit
Ensure all cargo is securely tied down, covered (with canvas if necessary), and safely distributed according to weight limit regulations
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections (checking tires, engine oil, coolant, brakes, lights, and signal indicators)
Report any mechanical faults, damages, or accident incidents immediately to management and coordinate routine vehicle servicing or Puspakom inspections when needed
Verify items loaded against delivery orders (DO) and invoices before departure
Collect customer signatures, company stamps, or cash/cheque payments upon delivery, and ensure all documents are safely returned and handed over to the admin or finance department
Strictly comply with all Malaysian road traffic laws, JPJ/PDRM regulations, and company safety policies
Assist in the warehouse with packing, sorting, inventory organization, or general housekeeping when there are no driving assignments
About you
Valid Malaysian Class E Competent Driving Licence (CDL) and Goods Driving Licence (GDL) for heavy commercial vehicles
Minimum 5 years of proven experience driving commercial lorries
Good familiarity with routes around Ipoh, Perak, and major highways
Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and physically fit
Basic proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, or Chinese
Willing to work flexible hours, overtime, or travel outstation when operational needs require
Maintain a clean driving record with no reckless driving or unresolved traffic summonses
